Adam shows you how to make the No Sew Tote, a leather bag that doesn't require any sewing.

As indicated by the name, this is a no sew pattern constructed entirely with rivets. It’s a quick and simple bag to make. We recommend using genuine leather for this pattern as it’s unlined and has lots of raw edges. If you want to, you can finish your raw edges using edge paint for chrome tan leather, or by burnishing the edges of veg tan leather. This bag quickly comes together, creating a luxurious looking tote that will make you want to use leather in all your bag making projects.

What about using vinyl or faux leather? We recommend using genuine leather for this pattern as the edges can be left raw and still look fantastic. Genuine leather is usually available in thicker varieties which is more suitable for this bag. You may struggle to find vinyl that is suitable for the straps, without having to back it. You’ll also find that leather will wear better with use, particularly on the raw edges where the base meets the side.
5oz [1.6mm]+ Veg tan leather OR 6oz [2mm]+ Chrome tan leather: 31 1/2” x 21” [80cm x 54cm] - SEE THE IMAGE REGARDING SUITABLE LEATHER THICKNESS/DRAPE - Cork/Vinyl/Faux Leather is not recommended due to drape
