About Us
A small family run sewing shop specifically for bag makers.
We’re Adam & Jo, a husband and wife sewing team, living in Cornwall in the UK. Jo has been designing bag sewing patterns since 2019 and Adam joined in 2021. We also stock a variety of fabrics, hardware, zips, and other bag making supplies.
We design sewing patterns for sewists of various skill levels and strive to create patterns that are easy to follow and understand, but also help you create beautiful bags and learn valuable new skills.
Like many others before her, Jo was introduced to sewing when she developed health issues that stopped her usual activities. Shortly after, Adam joined in and now we both love it! We enjoy trying out new techniques and developing new styles. When we’re not sewing, our favourite place to be is at the beach or having fun with friends.

Our sewing patterns have full video tutorials to guide you through the bag making process. These tutorials can be accessed via our YouTube channel.
If you’re unsure if your skills are up to the task, you can watch us make the bag before you buy the pattern, so you know exactly what’s involved. All our patterns have step-by-step photos guiding you through the whole process as well as printable pattern pieces for every piece. All our bag patterns are suitable for use with a good domestic sewing machine.
Until recently, Jo made all her bags on our domestic sewing machine, a Bernina 930 Record. She now also has a Janome HD9 straight stitch machine. Adam uses a Sailrite Fabricator industrial sewing machine for leather and all-vinyl bags.
We strive to include options in all our patterns so you can personalise the bag – size options, pocket options or style options. Our patterns can be made with cotton, canvas, cork, vinyl, or leather, depending on the capabilities of your sewing machine. We aim to help you create beautiful and sophisticated bags, so our designs account for neatly fitted linings and zip pockets with no raw edges.
We hope you love making bags as much as we enjoy making the patterns!

OUR SUPPORT NETWORK
We have a few people helping us out part time. Although we (Adam & Jo) still design all the patterns and make the video tutorials, we needed a bit of help with physical orders so we have time to stay creative and design new patterns.
Debbie helps us pack physical orders and she’s also responsible for ordering new fabric, webbing and zip designs. This year she’s going to make sure we’re more organised with stock and don’t run out of things.
Sarah helps us out with our social media content, making sure that we’re posting when we need to, and keeping you updated on our latest patterns and products.
Esther helps us manage stock, pack orders, bag hardware, and cut out prototypes.
Everyone in the team has an important part to play and we couldn’t do it without them.
