Full Video Tutorial

In this video Jo takes you through the step-by-step process to make this fold-over backpack

This bag is designed so you can throw everything in it for a day out. It’s got a slouchy, relaxed feel, perfect for the beach. Kynsa comes from the Cornish word for “first” or “initial”. This is Adam’s first fabric pattern so we thought it was a fitting name. We recommend this pattern as suitable for ambitious beginners. It doesn’t include any curves or zips, so everything is quite straight-forward. We recommend watching the video tutorial linked below if this is one of your first bags!
Exterior Slip Pocket
Cotton, canvas, cork, vinyl or leather. Your chosen fabrics should be suitable for the capabilities of your sewing machine. If using a basic domestic sewing machine, we recommend using cotton or canvas for your first bag.
