A fun little bag that comes together quickly and features grab handles and an adjustable crossbody strap. The Zalmora will teach you some new techniques and results in a bag that’s perfectly sized to carry the essentials, including a standard sized ipad/tablet.

Canvas is a great fabric for this bag. More experienced sewists may want to give cork or vinyl a try. Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure they’re suitable for your sewing machine. For domestic machines, it’s usually best to stick with cotton, especially for your first bag.

  • SVG files - for use with cutting machines such as Cricut or Cameo (not all pattern pieces are included as some are bigger than the mat size limit)

Fabric & Stabilisers
1/2 yd (50cm) Exterior fabric (44"/110cm wide)* - personally I prefer to use two fabrics for this
3/4 yd (75cm) Lining fabric (44"/110cm wide)*
4" x 24" (10cm x 61cm) Handle fabric, OR 48" (122cm) of 1" (2.5cm) wide webbing
Medium weight woven fusible interfacing - enough for all cotton pieces - we like FastFuse, which is 150cm wide 
11" x 35" (28cm x 90cm) Decovil light stabiliser or similar
3 1/2" x 10 1/4" (9cm x 26cm) Ultra firm stabiliser for the base

Notions:
60" (150cm) Webbing 1 1/2" (3.8cm) wide for the crossbody strap
28" (71cm) No.5 size zip tape and three No.5 zip pulls (must be continuous zip tape)
