Jo walks your through the full process of making this bag and gives recommendations on fabric choices and stabilisers.

This bag features lots of useful pockets for organising your things. The word Deskasow is Cornish for “teaching” as I designed this bag to be especially useful for teachers.
2 Exterior slip pockets big enough for most mobile phones
2 Large interior slip pockets big enough for an iPad or magazines
1 Divider zip pocket big enough for a mobile phone or small envelopes
2/4 Card slots
1 Zip pocket
Due to the number of pockets, and therefore layers, in this bag, we recommend quilting cotton as an ideal fabric. Canvas is also great and more experienced sewists may want to give vinyl a try. However, the bag is turned multiple times as we construct it so stiff and sturdy fabrics are not recommended. Cork is only suitable if it is high quality, malleable cork that won't crack when turned multiple times. Thin or flexible vinyl or leather will work but they will make the construction process considerably more difficult so we only recommend these for experienced bag makers.

Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure they’re suitable for your sewing machine. For domestic machines, it’s usually best to stick with cotton, especially for your first bag.
10” tall x 11” wide x 3 1/2” deep [25.5cm x 28cm x 8.75cm]
Lots & lots of pockets
New techniques you may not have tried before
Beautifully sophisticated shape
Useful grab handles
You can sell products made from this design on a home-based production scale.
