For this pattern, you will need a hand press or similar tool that can punch holes, set rivets, and set eyelets/grommets.
We collaborate with the Trimming shop and recommend their Green Machine hand press. Whatever hand press or tool you use, you will also need the "die sets" to punch holes, set rivets, and set eyelets/grommets. Here we have linked the die sets to go with the Green machine:
- 9mm double cap rivet die set
- 10mm eyelet die set
- 2mm hole punch die set
Bag makers like making presents for friends and family. Instead of buying packaging or a box, how about making a box bag to present your gifts? There are two styles for you to choose from, the tie cord top, or grab handle.
This pattern is suitable for beginners. The pattern includes step by step photo instructions and tips. For more in-depth tips, watch the video tutorial which is linked on page 2 of the pattern.
Whatever fabrics you decide to use, make sure they’re suitable for your sewing machine. For domestic machines, it’s usually best to stick with cotton, especially for your first bag.
Immediately after purchase, you will receive the following files:
