This funky little crossbody features unique O-ring details on the exterior with the option to add a tassel and exterior zip pocket. Inside it features a neat, fitted lining with a simple zipper pocket. This little bag comes together quickly and is a great size to carry your daily essentials.

I have not yet made the Momexa since I am searching for the perfect fabric, but as with all of Country Cow Designs, I know I will be able to follow the instructions. Of course, Jo’s tutorials are wonderful.
Pamela Verified Owner –
The Momexa was the first ‘proper’ bag I’ve made. It took me a while because I’m a beginner, but the instructions were really clear and I now have an amazing bag which I’m super proud of and use all the time! I would highly recommend this pattern. I’ve already purchased my next bag pattern (Teloujay) and just need to find the time to make it!
Mariyam Manik Verified Owner –
Made my first Momexa and it is the perfect bag for me. Doesn’t look too big but my full size wallet fits in with ease. So happy with it. Also the lining fits so snugly that it looks amazingly professional. Thank you for this wonderful pattern and all ur other patterns and videos. I wait earnestly for each of your new patterns. So easy to follow.
Kim Violanti Verified Owner –
I have purchased several Country Cow patterns, they are well designed and easy to follow. The end product makes me look like I know what I’m doing 😉

Such a darling little handbag and so unique! The pattern is well written, clear and concise. The video tutorial is the best … top notch instructor! All of her tutorials are so in depth, step by step, with new things to learn each time. Even if I’m not making that particular bag, I get such enjoyment watching her videos and learning new ways to do things. Thank you for all you put into designing these handbags and creating awesome videos 🙂
Lisa Verified Owner –
I love this pattern – it’s a perfect size for what I need and it looks awesome! The instructions are really clear and guide the sewist through with tips to minimise bulk in the seams- and end up with a professional finish

I made the Momexa last summer, it was my first “real bag”. My neighbor saw it and wanted one custom made for his girlfriend’s birthday last August. She loved it and recently messaged me to say she’s had lots of compliments and one lady would like one made as well! The video was a big help and the pattern is very well written too…I would highly recommend any of their patterns!
Wendy McMullen Verified Owner –
Fantastic pattern and loved making this bag for my friend – my first commissioned bag.
Jeanne Harrington –
This is a great pattern!!! Well written and anyone can do if you carefully follow her instructions. I make tons of bag patterns, most only get made once. This pattern I have made multiple times, that is a testament to a excellant design!!!
carlascakes Verified Owner –
I made several Momexa, still in love with this pattern,
I made this one Enlarged at 110%, made out of WPC and a trapunto embroidery on the front.
A perfect pattern, easy to follow. Domestic machine friendly.

Another absolutely stunning pattern. I have purchased quite a few Country Cow Designs patterns and each and every one is very well written, comes together beautifully and I love the fact that your patterns are all unique and don’t look similar to any other designers bags. My first make of yours was a free pattern, which was a great way to find out how well I liked your designs and instructions. I’m very much a visual learner and tend to buy from designers that take the time and effort to make a video to help their customers achieve good results. So thank you, for your videos, which I love to sit and watch how it all comes together before starting to sew. I find this a big bonus. I have also purchased bag hardware from you and they’ve all been fantastic quality, quick delivery time and the brushed brass is so so nice. Keep doing what you’re doing and I so look forward to purchasing more gorgeous designs from you in the future 😍

This is a fabulous pattern!! The instructions are easy to follow and there are wonderdul tutorials to help explain things visually. I love making these Momexas; such a brilliant design. Thank you, Jo!!
Monica –
This pattern turned out great! I would like to try my next one with Decovil instead of foam as I hope it will make the bag a little larger. Thanks for the great instructions.
Katheryn Haskell –
This has been one of my absolute favourite bag patterns to date! I’ve made two, and while my second is definitely better, the instructions were so well done that you’d never guess it was the first time I made that bag.
Instructions are SUPER helpful, you can find videos online for it if you need (I did for one little portion, super helpful), and it makes a beautiful bag. While it can be time consuming if you do all the pockets and buckles, it is pretty easy and fun! Love love love it. Used it to make the purse that I use for every outting and never had issues with it!
Melissa Haynes –
I have made soooooo many Momexa bags! It is the perfect size bag!!! It fits everything I need it to without being too big! It has plenty of pockets and my favorite is the front zippered pocket that fits my large cellphone. I love crossbody bags because it keeps my hands free. Will be making many more of these!!!
Nancy Verified Owner –

I’ve made 5 of these bags and they go together so smoothly. It is such a cute and unique design with so many possibilities, I carried one all last summer! Like all Country Cow patterns, the instructions are clear, detailed and easy to follow.
Michelle Verified Owner –
A brilliant pattern that makes for a cute, quirky little cross body. I did sew this on my domestic machine and she wasn’t happy with the layers. Best tip is to hammer them down and use a hump jumper lots! Overall this is a lovely pattern. The videos helped lots with this one just to see how things are done. As always we’ll written other, amazing videos and a bag I will make again.
Cousettes Fantastiques –
I bought both this one and its big brother the Lomexa but have only done the Momexa for now. It was easy to sew and the result is really nice. Perfect when you have a panel you want to eminently feature. Can’t wait to do the other one with even bigger feature panels! 🙂

Gorgeous bag. I made 3 of them and I will surely make more. It’s a small bag but with a lot of space inside. Jo’s patterns are so easy and clear to follow and following the video is impossible to fail.
I just changed the front ring detail because I didn’t have the rings but the bags came out beautifully, even if I use a domestic machine.
Dai Keller –

The pattern is a resonable one to follower. I found this quite challenging but completed the bag. I needed the YouTube tutorial as I’m not a confident or experienced sewer. The hardware I used does not do justice to the bag. I will probably use this pattern again as I love the look of the bag and it a great size.
J Sheppard –

Penny Read –
Lovely design great instructions thanks
Helen Grant –
Just love how this turned out !! I used a black & white houndstooth fabric and black vinyl for the base, connectors and strap. The foam was so much easier to use than Decovil light. I made the Lomexa and used the Decovil for the first time ever, I thought I had adhered it ok to my exterior fabric, but when I went to turn the bag out through the pocket, in quite a few places the decovil had come unstuck, but the foam has just kept its shape beautifully. Will certainly be making more Momexa’s for sure. Great pattern and your YOU TUBE tutorial was a real help. Thank you again for a great pattern. Helen Western Australia
Carole –
