971F is equivalent to Thermolam Plus TP971F by Pellon. It's an extra loft fleece with a fusible adhesive on one side. Ideal for bag making as well as quilting projects. It remains lofty after fusing. This is our preferred fusible fleece as it causes less wrinkling than alternative brands we've tried. For a sew-in equivalent of this product, check out our listing for TP970.

Or you can send us a Whatsapp message +447518142548. This is your “right of withdrawal”. Items must be returned at your expense, within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. We recommend that you obtain proof of postage or tracking when returning your items as we can’t guarantee receipt of your order.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. The simplest way to provide this is to reply to the original order confirmation email. To qualify for a refund, your products must be returned unused and in a re-saleable condition. Once we’ve inspected the returned items, we’ll refund you within 14 days. The refund will be processed to the same payment source used for purchase. In certain circumstances, we will only grant a partial refund. This includes where any item is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error, or any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
When you cancel or return your order, we incur costs that are not refunded to us such as payment processing fees and postage costs. If we’ve sent you the wrong item, we’ll let you keep it at no cost, and we'll also send you the correct item.
If you believe an item is missing, please check the packaging thoroughly and unpack your entire order. We like to do our bit to help the planet and that means reducing packaging and space. To achieve this, we often roll items within each other. For example, if you’ve ordered 2 x 1 metre cuts of zip tape and 1 metre of webbing, we’ll roll them together in one bag. If your order is completely unpacked and you’re certain an item is missing, please email us at shop@countrycowdesigns.com.

IMPORTANT PRODUCT SAFETY INFORMATION
Product: Fusible Non-Woven Fabric Interfacing/Stabiliser (also known as Iron-on Stabiliser, Fusible Stabiliser)
Intended Use: For use in sewing, quilting, and crafting projects to add structure, stability, body, and shape retention to fabrics. Typically applied to the wrong side of fabric using heat and pressure (ironing). Common applications include bag making, apparel (collars, cuffs), and craft projects.
Target User: Adult consumers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced sewers and crafters.
Product Description: A fabric made from a variety of materials, featuring a heat-activated adhesive coating on one side. Designed to bond securely to other fabrics when heat and pressure are applied. Available in various weights (light, medium, heavy) to suit different project needs.
Made of: 100% Polyester
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hazards: Fusible fabric interfacing, while generally low-risk, presents specific hazards primarily associated with its heat-activated adhesive and its material composition during application. This product is designed to be safe under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. Risks are primarily thermal (due to heat application), chemical (adhesive properties), and physical (fabric properties).
Burns from Hot Iron/Heat Press: The primary risk when using this product. Direct contact with a hot iron or heat press can cause severe thermal burns to skin. The heat required to fuse the interfacing can be substantial.
Scorching/Fire: Overheating the fabric or leaving a hot iron unattended on the interfacing can cause scorching, melting of the adhesive, or in extreme cases, fire, especially if combined with other flammable materials or lint buildup.
Fumes/Odours from Adhesive: During the heating (fusing) process, the adhesive may release minor fumes or odours. For sensitive individuals or in poorly ventilated areas, this could cause respiratory irritation, headache, or nausea. While generally considered low-toxicity, prolonged exposure in unventilated spaces should be avoided.
Adhesive Transfer/Residue: Incorrect application (e.g., too much heat, pressing directly on the adhesive side without a pressing cloth) can cause adhesive to melt onto the iron soleplate or pressing surface, creating sticky residue that can damage future projects or the iron itself. Minor skin irritation could occur if direct contact with hot adhesive.
Material Allergies/Sensitization: While many fabrics are generally hypoallergenic, some individuals may have sensitivities or allergic reactions to the fibres themselves, dyes, or the adhesive used in manufacturing. This could manifest as skin irritation or respiratory symptoms upon prolonged contact or exposure to fumes.
Fraying & Lint: Cutting stabiliser generates small fibres and lint. For individuals with respiratory sensitivities (e.g., asthma, allergies), inhaling excessive lint can cause respiratory irritation. Lint can also accumulate in sewing machines, requiring regular cleaning.
Choking Hazard (for very young children/vulnerable adults/pets): Small, cut scraps of interfacing, especially if improperly stored, could pose a choking risk if ingested by very young children or pets. This is a low likelihood risk if standard safety practices for crafting materials are followed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
To ensure the safe use of fusible fabric stabiliser and minimize associated risks, adhere to the following recommendations:
Store Safely: Store interfacing in a clean, dry area, away from direct heat sources, open flames, and out of reach of young children and pets.
Clear Workspace: Maintain a clear, well-lit, and organized crafting area to prevent accidents.
Ventilation: Always work in a well-ventilated area when fusing. Open a window or use a fan to dissipate any fumes or odors released by the adhesive during heating.
Dust Control: Regularly clean your sewing area and machine to remove accumulated fabric dust and lint. Using a vacuum with a HEPA filter can be beneficial.
Keep Away from Flammable Materials: Ensure there are no flammable liquids, sprays, or materials near your ironing area.
Read Instructions Carefully: Always follow the manufacturer's specific instructions for heat, time, and pressure, as these can vary by interfacing weight and type. The instructions for fusing are shown on the product page of our website.
Use a Pressing Cloth: ALWAYS use a clean pressing cloth (e.g., cotton scrap, non-stick pressing sheet, parchment paper) between the iron and the interfacing (especially if applying from the adhesive side, or if there's any chance of adhesive seeping through the fashion fabric). This prevents adhesive from sticking to your iron soleplate or scorching your project.
Dedicated Ironing Surface: Use a stable, heat-resistant ironing board or surface.
Correct Iron Temperature: Set your iron to the recommended temperatureor a slightly lower setting if the outer fabric is sensitive. Test on a scrap piece first.
Apply Heat and Pressure Evenly: Use a consistent, firm pressure and a slow, even motion across the entire surface to ensure proper bonding and avoid scorching. Do not 'glide' the iron; lift and press.
Avoid Overheating: Do not hold the iron in one spot for too long, as this can scorch the fabric, melt the adhesive excessively, or damage the fibres.
Unattended Iron Safety: NEVER leave a hot iron unattended or resting on its soleplate directly on the ironing board. Always place it on its heel rest or a heat-safe silicone mat. Unplug the iron when not in use or when leaving the workspace.
Protect Surfaces: Ensure your ironing surface is protected from heat transfer and potential adhesive residue.
Needle Selection: Choose an appropriate sewing machine needle for the combined layers of fabric and interfacing. A universal needle is often suitable, but a sharp or quilting needle might be better for dense applications.
Washing Finished Projects: Follow care instructions for finished projects. Most fusible interfacings are machine washable, but always refer to the specific product care guidelines.
Safe Disposal of Scraps: Dispose of small fabric scraps in a secure container, out of reach of young children and pets, to prevent choking hazards.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In case of accidental injury:
Thermal Burns (from hot iron/molten adhesive): Cool Immediately: Cool the burn rapidly with cool (not cold or ice) running water for at least 10-20 minutes. Do NOT Remove Adhesive: If any melted adhesive is stuck to the skin, do not attempt to peel it off, as this can cause further tissue damage. Cool the area with the adhesive still attached. Seek Medical Attention: For any thermal burn, especially if severe, blistering, covers a large area, or if molten adhesive is firmly adhered to the skin, seek immediate medical attention.
Respiratory Irritation (due to fumes/lint): Move to a well-ventilated area or go outdoors for fresh air. If symptoms persist or worsen, or if breathing becomes difficult, seek medical attention.
Skin Irritation/Allergic Reaction: Discontinue contact with the product. Wash the affected skin thoroughly with mild soap and water. If irritation persists or worsens, consult a medical professional.
