I’m Jo and I live in Cornwall in the UK. I’ve been designing bag sewing patterns since 2019 and I absolutely love it.
I design PDF bag patterns for sewists (apparently that is a real word) of various skill levels. I strive to create patterns that are easy to follow and understand but also help you create beautiful bags and learn valuable new skills.
Most of my patterns have full video tutorials to guide you through the bag making process. These tutorials can be accessed via my YouTube channel. So if you’re unsure if your skills are up to the task, you can watch me make the bag before you buy the pattern, so you know exactly what’s involved. All my patterns have step-by-step photos guiding you through the whole process as well as printable pattern pieces for every piece. They’re suitable for use on a domestic sewing machine. In fact, I make all my bags on my domestic sewing machine, a Bernina 930 Record.
I strive to include options in all my patterns so you can personalise the bag – size options, pocket options or style options. All my patterns can be made with cotton, canvas, cork, vinyl or leather, depending on the capabilities of your sewing machine. Most of my bags are turned through the lining and sewn up through a pocket, with the exception of the Vekza, which makes use of binding to help give it an especially gorgeous shape. I aim to help you create beautiful and sophisticated bags so my designs account for neatly fitted linings and zipper pockets with hidden zipper edges.
I hope you love making bags as much as I’ve enjoyed making the patterns!
