How to add bead zip pulls

It’s easier to attach the beads after the bag is finished so they won’t be in the way while you’re sewing the bag.

  1. Cut a piece of cord approximately 10″ [25cm] long
  2. Put the cord through the needle so it’s overhanging by approximately 2″ [5cm]
  3. Put the needle through the beads (if you’re having more than one bead, feed it through the bottom bead first)
  4. Then go through the hole in the zip pull, and back through the beads so the needle and cord are back where they started
  5. Remove the needle and tie the two pieces of cord together to form a knot directly under the beads (if the hole in the beads is large, you may need to tie a double knot)
  6. Trim the leftover cord and you’re all done!
