Idexa Pouch – Free PDF Sewing Pattern
The Idexa Pouch doesn’t require a lot of fabric so it’s great for using up your fat quarters and scraps. It offers a variety of options designed to incorporate and teach various bag making techniques, giving you an opportunity to try something new. You can use various materials, different interfacing types and change and remove the pockets.
The pattern is designed to help beginners develop their bag making skills so be warned, it’s not as simple as most pouch patterns. The topstitching in particular is challenging but a great new skill to learn.
There’s no binding and the pouch is birthed through the zip pocket – or the lining if you don’t want a zip pocket. You can use just woven interfacing, or you can add either fleece or foam for a sturdier pouch.
Finished size: 6″ tall x 7 1/2″ wide x 2″ deep.
Skill level: Ambitious beginner – looking to learn new skills
Measurements: Imperial only (inches)
