Hardware Shop Closed
We’ve made the difficult decision to close the hardware shop until 28th December. Until then, all hardware, zips, webbing and interfacing will show as out of stock. We notified our mailing list on 5th December to ensure everyone had a chance to place final orders. If you’re not part of the mailing list, you can subscribe here.
We’re experiencing severe delays as a result of postal strikes. The hardware shop will re-open on Wednesday 28th December when the strikes are over. However, the delays will still be ongoing, so orders placed after we re-open are unlikely to be delivered to you until mid January.
If you ordered before 8th December, your order has definitely been dispatched. However, the tracking may show that it’s still not been received by the courier company for up to two weeks after dispatch. This is because they are not updating the tracking information, but we can guarantee that the courier does in fact have your parcel.
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. We’ve made the difficult decision to close because we can’t continue to dispatch orders that are getting lost in the system for weeks at a time. This is resulting in customers requesting refunds or replacement orders which is costly to our small business as the courier will not refund us for delays during strike periods. Unfortunately our efforts to use other couriers have resulted in similar problems so closing hardware orders is the only viable option open to us. We like to provide the best possible service to our customers, which isn’t possible at this time so we hope you’ll accept our apologies as we navigate this difficult situation.
If you have any questions or queries about an existing order, please email us at countrycowdesigns@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to help you out! From what we can tell, Royal Mail 24 is currently taking 7-10 days instead of 1 day. Royal Mail international is taking approximately 2-4 weeks rather than the usual 1-3 weeks.
