Straps are a bug bear of mine. For a long time I've favoured using metal strap ends because I don't want to sew through the huge bulk that's generally required to avoid raw edges.
I searched online for a few tutorials but couldn't find anything that had all the features I wanted in my ideal strap so I decided it was time to create one of my own. I decided to make it a video tutorial since everyone loves videos. I'm planning to use this technique in all patterns going forward. It results in a strap with no raw edges and no heavy bulk - perfect if, like me, you're sewing on a domestic sewing machine.
